I saw that you posted the info. about the Wellness Walk. Im not participating in that, but I am participating in:
JDRF and Monicals Pizza fundraiser. Eat pizza and raise money for the Central Illinois Juvenille Diabetes foundation.
It will be held on Monday, Aug. 28th. The only bad thing is that you have to take in a letter when you do any fundraising with Monicals. Here is a link to get to that letter:
I know they also have a walk coming up Sunday, Sept. 17th at Glen Oak Park. We did this when Andy was one and a half years old (Andy was diagnosed when he was 13 months old). It was fun. Then they moved it to Jubilee and made it a big national thing. Im glad its back at Glen Oak. Im not sure if well go since that is our BIG weekend -- PUMPKIN FESTIVAL!
Off to school I go -- that classroom just doesnt seem to set itself up! Where did the summer go?
See ya.

Sounds like a plan Tammy, let me know which Monicals and what time. I will try to get the whole family there! Ive downloaded and printed the form, so we are ready to go.
Yes the summer has flown by hasnt it? Aaron & Ben are bemoaning the impending return to school. They have been moping around here as if they were going to prison. A I recall, some days at school did indeed feel that way!
Did you hear me groan all the way over there? A MATH question! Then I saw the picture.....so I just read the picture! After all, a picture IS worth a thousand words, right!
Thanks for posting and printing the Monicals info. The Monicals participating are listed at the bottom of the letter. If not, here they are:
PEORIA: 4408 N. Knoxville PEKIN: 4100 Willow Knolls Dr. EAST PEORIA MORTON
I know its kind of a pain having to print off and take a letter, but thanks a bunch!
Well, I got a 3 square done in the classroom this a.m. At this rate, Ill be ready for fall of 07!

I love math! My favorite story was about Trains A & B leaving opposite cities headed in the same direction and figuring out the real answer to the question wasnt when and where would they meet but who was the crazy person running the railroad!?
I will try to get the boys together and go to the pizza thing at the Monicals in Morton for supper maybe we will run into you there.

What are the odds that the number of tickets written will be much higher next year than this year? But traffic law enforcement is all about making our streets safer. Yea riiight!
Michael T. 16 Aug 2006, 4:41 p.m.
Im with you Michael One of the very first tickets I ever got was on Main St. in N. Pekin near Rosewood Bowling Lanes at almost midnight coming home from the drive-in theater. He was parked back in the corn on the very edge of town. He got me for going 35 in a 30 mph zone. The sign was obscured by the weeds at the side of the road. I am quite certain the citizens of N. Pekin all slept a bit safer that night. NOT! That whole keep it off your record issue stinks. It is out-and-out blackmail and they all pretend they are doing you a service to help keep your insurance rates lower.
