Some people just dont understand that the reason you are playing that silly board game is to figure it out for yourself. What fun is it to have the answer. Its kind of like PacMan. Once you figured out the pattern to the first screen, that screen lost its excitement and was just in the way of letting you get to the next that you had not yet mastered. So the next time someone tries to give you the answer, tell him to stick it.

Keep in mind that thepeople in city government making these decisions are usually just locl business people who had enough visability to get elected...not because they know anything about government or about how much they care about the issues their constituency cares about....

OK, Ill give you the Dr. Phil point, but why are you knocking on Pro Wrestling? I dont know if you paper has the results in the Sports Section, but mine does...that must mean it is really a sport!
By the way, Dr. Phil does have one saying that I have used with one of my employees with personal problems with her children...its working for her, is it working for you?

Got to agree with the video. Sometimes people just need to know you are behind them 100% to get them to move. Of course, other people just look at you strange and tell you to lay off the speed.

School teaachers are just another case of you get what you pay for. If they were really ambitious enough to think out of the box, then they would be out in business working on their fortune. Remember, those who can, do...those who cant teach. Now raise the salary to 200K a year and you might have people actually standing in line to get that thankless job where according to Johnnys parents, Johnny is never wrong.

You ever read about Meth labs and what happens to the kids in the houses where there wonderful parents are cooking it? Not very good to see a 1 year old addicted to Meth. I realize people will use just about anything to get high, from butane to oxygen deprivation, but this meth thing is out of control. Please go to the doctor and get a prescription...
I shouldnt have to go to a doctor and get a prescription and it wouldnt help the meth thing a bit if I did. It doesnt matter how many drugs are unavailable to law abiding citizens it wont slow the drug traffic one iota.
Dramatic stories about one year olds doesnt do anything about it either except to divert attention from the real problem. We are losing the War on Drugs because we continue to use methods that arent working.
One definition of insanity is to continue doing the same thing over and over with the expectation of a different result. We cant build enough prisons to solve the problem.
The only way to deal with a lucrative vice is to divert the flow of money. In this case from the drug dealer to legalized drugs in the private sector the same way as with alcohol.
Prohibition didnt work there either. We would still have the problem of policing the people who use drugs and we will always have that problem anyway but at least we wouldnt have all the problems of violence, theft, etc. associated with the illicit sale of drugs on the street.

Note to P Not: In regards your comments about the Meth problem, please refer to your comment about Doc Phil - Hows that Drug War thing working for ya?

You suppose we might be losing the drug war cause some people responsible for stoping it are on the take,so they look the other way? money is the name of the game,it is also suppose to be the root of all evil.

Tracey got an unexpected day off yesterday and we decided the weather has cooled off enough to start work on laying patio blocks on the north side of the house next to the sunroom. Also, the patio blocks are on sale at Menards.
So we measured it up and decided 100 16-inch square blocks would be a good start and we went off to buy them. We loaded thirty of them into the van and decided that would probably be a load each block weighs approx 44 pounds.
We then decided to get some breakfast / lunch (brunch?) at the Bob Evans. To get to Bob Evans, you have to negotiate around and between the ATM and Starbucks coffee shack, which can be life threatening if there are other cars also trying to get to any of the three business locations jammed together in that corner.
I can almost understand why they demolished the old Pekin Mall. I have no idea why they had to rename it to East Side Court or whatever the heck they named it. But I do know whoever laid out the plans for building locations and the traffic flow have no clue.
It looks more like the layout for a Goofy Golf course with traffic winding back and forth, in and out through narrow lanes and blind spots. It is neither user friendly or intuitive. It seems there have been no cars driving in that location for so long that the buildings were laid out with cars and parking as an afterthought.
I suppose it is all in keeping with the tradition of Pekin streets splitting, merging and looping around town with no apparent rhyme or reason. All I can say is keep a sharp eye out in all directions and hope you dont get hit.
As an aside to P NOT just because something is in the paper doesnt mean we have to take it seriously. I rank those phony wrestling shows about the same as the comic strips which are also in the newspaper. Sometimes entertaining and never to be taken seriously.
