Santa has been here and gone. There are presents under the tree. Now is the calm before the storm. In a few hours (maybe more depending on how late they stayed up last night) our boys will sneak out to peer under the tree and begin to bug us about opening presents.
Then will be the confetti storm of torn wrapping paper and although we won’t really hear them —— our memories will hear the squeals of delight from Christmas past. The Power Ranger Mega-Zord or the Thomas Train Engine gift that proved Santa exists.
Life will go on as it always has and by tomorrow all will be back to normal with an occasional smile or grin for the ownership of a new toy.
Merry Christmas Bedford Falls. Yes —— Tracey and I watched It’s A Wonderful Life last evening as we do every Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas.

Santa found our house as well. Yes, those were the days...Power Rangers and Barbies!
For us, it’s gift opening, oyster stew at Jackie’s sisters (Lynn), and then to my parents’ house for festivities. A whirlwind of a day, but that’s Christmas!

I can remember when I was young we always went to my grandparent’s house in Washington. It was all day food and board games.
We used to continue that tradition until my Mom and Dad moved into the trailer park. There just wasn’t enough room for everybody then.
Over the years since we have gathered a time or two but now we seem to have settled into each having their own day. As I grow older Christmas becomes more about the memories with each year adding to them.

I think Mom usually spends the day at home as she usually does. Eventually she will come on here and let us know?
