The following video was forwarded to me as a link from my brother Alan. There have been a few headlines recently regarding avalanches in Colorado. This video is of the San Juan Mountain town of Ophir near the towns of Telluride and Silverton. Alan and I have been in those mountains a few times. I have never been there in winter but I can see in my minds eye how huge these snow fields must be. The power of nature is not to be fooled with!
Heres a quote from our Congress Critter Ray theHood:
Then Ill have to decide whether I think its the right way to go, LaHood said Monday, adding, Im trying to evaluate it like everybody else.
Am I the only one who wonders why #RayLaHood would be taking it upon himself to decide whats right instead of just representing the overwhelming majority of people who say we should NOT send more troops. Who does theHood represent anyway us or the GOP party?
What a great picture! Have you ever been to Epcot? We are thinking about taking the kids to Florida (no, theyve never been -- deprived kids!), but I dont know which one to do Epcot or Magic Kingdom. Ive had some say that because of their ages to do Epcot, but others say they HAVE to see Disney at least once.
Any input -- Oh Great Wise One
Just a thought to ponder today since you cant send Rosie around.

Yes we took the whole famn damily in the fall of 1999. We flew down there and rented a trailer in the park for a week. We got passes for all the parks and rides for all of us so we saw just about everything down there. I think Epcot is my favorite, although there were a couple fun rides at the MGM Studios park. The boys really enjoyed the swimming at Typhoon Lagoon and the Safari Park was pretty cool too. I dont know if they have the trailers anymore but it was the cheapest way to stay back then.
Spend some time looking it all over and I think you will soon figure out what you will want to see most. We went in the fall because all the rates were cheaper then, but the kids did miss a week of school. Thats one of the reasons we flew too, because it was cheaper to fly down and miss fewer days of work. That was before 9/11 though so it might be easier and cheaper to drive now. I think everyone should go at least once if they can afford it.
