I smoked over two packs of cigarettes a day until Feb. 14, 2000. Now I dont smoke or use tobacco at all.
So I have every right to argue either or both sides of the smoking issue. It does bother me to smell smoke when I am out in public. I dont always blame the smokers. Especially in a restaurant that has a smoking section in name only.
It should be separate from the non-smokers and enclosed or ventilated so that nobody but the smokers have to deal with the smoke. Our society is too pro-business to require them to isolate smokers and it is simply easier to vilify the smokers.
Here is the comment I sent regarding the article below:
The best resolution for a free society would be to have establishments that are designated smoking or smoke-free throughout the entire establishment. The real problem today is that the so-called smoking section is not isolated and non-smokers are polluted. Given the clear choice of smoking or non-smoking consumers can make the choice for themselves. We dont need more Big Brother laws.
I received the cartoon below from Michael T. with this message:
Nothing personal, just that you have been posting some age stuff lately.
Yes I do post age stuff but I get most of it from my Aunt Jackie and my Mother! Once in a while I trip over some on my own but I usually just repost what they send me. I, of course, am far too young to think any of it applies to me anyway. Except maybe the ones about being retired or taking naps or what was the other thing? Oh well, I cant remember.
