I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Repuglican friends that if they will stop telling lies about the Dimocrats, well stop telling the truth about them.
The sun is just coming up and we have some new snow on the ground. There is something about awakening to new snow that stirs the inner child in me. I can still remember the rush to get dressed, find your gloves hurry, hurry, HURRY to get out and make tracks! Sledding, snow angels, snow forts, and so on then dripping into the house and getting hollered at to TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF AT THE DOOR! And no sooner are you all out of those clothes and warmed up (and Mom has the drippy mess mopped up) you scramble to do it all over again. Wonder if we are going to get more snow today?
Now I would just as soon sit in the sunroom by the fireplace and watch the wind swirl that nasty cold stuff around. The very thought of plopping down on a sled and racing down a hill sends chills up my spine and I have a mental picture of laying in traction or something. I still keep the memories though.
We went out to eat again last evening. Again we solved all the worlds troubles only nobody knows this but us.
Alan is thinking about changing his Internet setup to a local wireless company. He would send and receive his Internet via a small dish aimed at a local tower. So far he is only having them do a site test to see if he can get a good signal.
It really is a shame Verizon wont let him hookup to their DSL because we both think he could probably get a strong enough signal. Verizon as determined by the distance that it wont work but I cant see where it would hurt to let Alan try it and see. Thats the trouble with big monopolies. They dont care, they dont have to care, and they certainly dont want to care. They dont even care if Alan goes to this alternative and drops his phone service altogether. What is one customer more or less?
