It’s really a snowin’ and a blowin’ out there right now. I don’t know if it will be enough for a snow day, but there’s already plenty to shovel!
I think Dave and I just grew up in the family of tradition of putting kids to work. I don’t make our boys do near the stuff my Dad had me doing. That’s only because Tracey doesn’t let me. Heck, I can remember when us kids were the TV or radio remote control. Seems like it took my Dad forever to decide on a TV channel or the volume and he would ALWAYS send a kid to run the controls until he was satisfied. Thank goodness we only had 3 channels!
Tracey is not too keen on flying either. She says she does OK when there is absolutely no turbulence, but any ups and downs and she is sitting with her hands on the barf bag.
Shame on you for teasing about being 40. Tracey did real well with 40 but when she turned 30 it was like the end of the world. She slept most of that birthday and moped around the rest. I’ve never gotten too excited about birthdays.

SNOW DAY!
I know, I know.....you also walked 5 miles to school, uphill, in 5’ of snow.... just kiddin’
I just get a little ticked at Dave if I ask him to do something and he pushes it off on a kid. If I would of wanted a kid to do it, I would of asked a kid!
I’ve got about a 2’ drift across the driveway. I sent Dave off to work in the van. The Ford is rear wheel drive so figured the van is better. Dave thinks the Ford is more fun to drive in the snow though. I tried to give him my cell phone, but he poo-pooed that idea and rolled his eyes. I told him that it was to call someone who cares (not me)! So he left without it. Guess he made it to work...haven’t heard!
The b-day that I’m not looking forward to is 50! I’ve got 3 1/2 yrs. to work up to it!.....never!

I only had to walk a mile to school but it was uphill both ways —— at least parts of it were. Marquette Hgts. is very hilly!
Ben stumbled out of bed and Tracey sent him back —— I’m not sure he was awake enough to even know why. Aaron won’t get up until nearly noon. Tracey just left for work and she told me to keep my cell phone handy in case she needed me and Jake to come rescue her. She has already had a call-in from her clerk who lives in Manito and doesn’t think she better try to battle the snow.
I hit the big 5 - 0 last year —— nothing to it. All I had to do was wait for those fifty years to catch up to me. Or something like that.
Winter blast is right! The wind is coming in just the right direction to make the screens vibrate in the sunroom —— sounds like the whole wall is going to come apart!

Is/did Noah go to work today? Ashley stumbled out too about 15 mins. ago, did a victory dance, and went back to bed. I think Andy must of woke up, looked out, saw his alarm was turned off and went back to bed. He will be the one to sleep most of the morning away I’m sure.
Guess I’ll get to work on report cards and getting papers in order for parent/teacher conferences this week. I brought everything home just in case last night.

Noah left about 6:50 to go to work and we haven’t heard anything since. I think he probably made it all right or we would have heard something. He may end up coming home early if it keeps up.
Now that’s dedication, bringing work home!

He does pretty good in snow. His car is front wheel drive and he is a good and careful driver. Still, stuff happens as they say —— so we hope he is safe too!
