I’ll be taking Aaron & Ben to pick up their last report cards at the school at 8:00 this morning and I need to be at Fart & Fleem by 9 a.m. to get an estimate for repairs to the exhaust on the van. I should probably get some groceries today too —— it could get busy.


Once again all our grass is mowed at the same time —— that doesn’t happen too often so it looks pretty nice. Usually we have to mow between rain showers and it looks all patchy. I am really going to have some work to do when Aaron & Ben quite mowing for me. Won’t be long until they have “real” jobs as they say.


We got our electric bill yesterday —— double again what it was last year. I had hoped the summer rates would not be so bad but it looks like they may even be worse. Meanwhile our inept state representatives are still fussing and fooling around about rate relief. I think we should throw the whole lot of the bums out on their collective ears.


We are still having trouble with our Internet connection and the boys are still mad I can’t wave my magic wand and fix it. I really don’t know what to do about it. Every time I call I get somebody who doesn’t speak English trying to convince me the problem is at my end. It may be —— but I wish just once they would take a look at their system to see if it MIGHT just be their problem. I don’t understand why we have to go through this every summer.
