Crack In The Windshield

I suppose everyone realizes Libby is taking the fall for the rest of the Duh-bya administration and most especially for Rove and Shamely. I have mixed feelings about the commutation of jail time but I much prefer it to a full pardon. Now if they could just get the REAL criminals in this case —— but I guess that is too much to be asked for.

First —— let me offer my heartfelt congratulations to Team Tunis for losing so much weight! It seems I have spent a lot of my life losing and gaining weight and losing it is by far the harder part of the equation.

Although I have a great deal of admiration for their success, I must admit a large dose of jealousy is there as well. Probably because I know how hard it is to get started on losing so much weight. Congratulations!

It would appear that Tracey will have enough staffing at work to take a week off in the next month or so.

We spent most of last evening checking out places like the Smithsonian in DC and the Sequoia trees in California. We had just about settled upon Washington DC when I went to the Smithsonian website and discovered the American History Museum and the Museum of Industry are both closed for renovations. Glad I checked. Who would want to spend a week in DC looking at nothing but national monuments!

The tough part about this planning is that we can’t get a good read on what Aaron and Ben would like to do. If they come along and it is too boring —— it won’t be much fun for anybody.
