Hey! —— Tear another page off the ol’ calendar —— July ‘07 is history!
Gosh but that really sucks don’t it!? Tracey’s already talking about fall getting here too soon for her birds to have another batch of babies. Forget about the birds! I don’t want to have to light the stove up again so soon! I just think she is pushing it a bit too far. Still, another month and the Christmas stuff will be up in stores!
I had the weirdest feeling yesterday. I saw Aaron driving the Taurus toward me on Rt. 9. He was heading into Pekin while I was driving home away from Pekin. One of those “life moments” when you wave at your kid driving by. It was almost like —— “What the heck is he doing driving that car out here!” —— followed immediately by —— “Oh, that’s right, he can drive now.” What a bummer it is to get old. Getting old still beats the alternative.

I know what you mean about fall -- our cottonwoods are already loosing leaves. I hate to see that because that means school starts, Pumpkin Festival, leaf raking, then it’s cold! Sure wish summer would last thru August at least! I tried to find a pair of shorts -- well, the stores have basically “been there, done that” with most of the summer attire. I’ll probably be able to buy a winter coat soon though.
I bet that was a weird feeling to pass your kid on the road!

Yep! That whole “in season” thing that stores have going on is easily a topic of a future Pet Peeve. Just another bird-brained idea from some dippy accountant who thought it would save some money. It has to cost them more in the long run! I will write up the Pet Peeve when that comes in season.
