Hightower: A Farm Bill In The Public Interest

I made a start on the vacation pictures and posted 10 of them. Look under Pictures ——> Vacation on the blue menu. I will try to keep posting a few every day until I get through all of them. Tracey took several hundred pictures, so it will take a while to get them all!


Tracey managed to get to work yesterday but I couldn’t get myself up and running to do much of anything but sit at the computer and play.

I did go to the #TremontSchool and get Aaron & Ben registered for this year. We missed the regular cattle call while we were on vacation. I sure didn’t mind missing that.

I had a short discussion with the secretary lady when she pointed out there was a new attendance policy and how it would change the need for final tests to be taken.

I told her how disappointed the boys were last year that the school doesn’t give out good attendance awards in high school like they do all the previous grades. Aaron and Ben both commented that they may as well go ahead and miss the four days per semester allowed —— why not?

She gave me a little speech about going to school is a responsibility, etc. I got the impression she didn’t HATE school the way I did or the way my children do. Or maybe that is just what she is supposed to say —— I can’t really believe anyone really buys that malarkey about school being fun. God what I wouldn’t give to get those twelve years of my life back again to have fun with instead of sitting in a hot classroom listening to propaganda and hyperbole.
