I forgot to ask you yesterday if you were excited that Punkin Chunkin is back?!
Ive never been there or done that and thats ok with me. I dont do events dealing with Pumpkin Festival unless its during that Wed. - Sat. in Sept. Those are enough days for me! Now that the kids are older, I dont even look forward to P.F. -- its just a money-costing me event!
Dodge the raindrops!

Good morning Tammy! You beat me to the keyboard this morning.
I read the article about the Punkin Chunkin but I didnt see where it was going to be held. I dont care if they have it I just dont want it next door. I never could figure out how Morton could take credit for doing it in Pekin anyway?
In other news The boys survived another day at school. Ben thinks his chemistry teacher plans to teach Creationism rather than real science. I really hope this is just a misunderstanding because I dont want a chemistry teacher teaching religion. It seems of late everybody is bowing to the Christian Right even in matters of science.
I mowed some grass yesterday so did Aaron and Ben. We are finally getting caught up with the mowing since vacation. I had a bit more to finish today but it is raining again. We can always use the rain but I just wish it would cool off when it does.

It will be held at the Uhlman Family farm with no Green Acres corn maze. Personally, I dont know where that is at...
Im hoping to mow this weekend. I heard it was supposed to cool off -- I hope!
Well, the kids should be getting out in about 5 mins. I bet/know that Ashley is starving!

Uhlmans is where it was held in the past about a mile west of us. So we get to put up with the noise, traffic and litter yet another year. I still dont understand why one of the rich Yordys or other MORTON farmers dont hold it on their property in MORTON. Noooo they have to come to Pekin / Tremont to dirty our neighborhood.
I was thinking of finishing up the rest of mine this afternoon I only have about an acre left to do around the house. Its the worst though because of the hill.
Our guys wont roll in until a little past 2:00 and they will head right to the refrigerator too!

I think your clock is a little off....your entry says 12:51 a.m.
TGIF! Although, the worst is yet to come....5 days of heat schedule (7:15-12:45) next week.
The kids get sooooo grumpy by Wed.!
Tammy 24 Aug 2007, 2:50 p.m.
Ooops! the clock is OK, it is my fingers that stuttered!
I fixed it!
Our guys are already cranky and its Friday! I think it is the realization they are back to all the stupid, worthless homework again. Already these idiot teachers are piling it on. Now we are into Team Building. Just more ritualistic, bureaucratic BS instead of teaching them to actually THINK! I dont want my kids to approach life as a team unless they plan to be the coach. I want them to call their own plays, earn their own rewards or failures, etc. This school system is determined to turn them into robots.
