Mom, DD and I had a nice dinner together last evening. Once again we cussed and discussed, yet solved nothing. It is still fun though.
It was after 7:00 when I got home and Tracey was home when I got there. She told me all about Dereks visitation and funeral. She didnt go to the dinner afterwards at Dons bowling alley. Neither did her parents. It was probably just as well. Tracey said everything went as well as can be expected at such a somber occasion. I know she enjoys being with her family, but under these circumstances, I could tell she was glad to be home. She has been hugging the boys more often lately.
We have all the leaves falling off the trees but no fall colors and no frosty mornings. The heat continues in the upper 80s and is forecast to be over 90 today. I am NOT looking forward to freezing temperatures but I could use a break. How about a couple months in the 60s and 70s?

Andy went to the Homecoming dance last night (first ever in his four yrs. at MHS).
He had fun and everyone got home safely. Of course, he had to stress his mom out though -- dance on Sat. 10/6 and he asked a girl (as a friend) on Thurs. 10/4! She was a nice girl. Her family has been coming up to IL from San Antonio, TX, every year for her dad to work at Libbys. In fact, she was actually born on Oct. 9th in Peoria! She will be leaving in about a month. She is a sr. so she wont be coming back to Morton. She is going to go to college in San Antonio.
Well, new kitchen floor tomorrow and then backsplash tile behind the countertop on Tues. Were making progress...slowly!
Take Care!

They look like a charming couple. Noah only managed to go to one school dance but as I recall he had a good time.
