Fatherhood is pretending the present
you love most is soap-on-a-rope.

I had a thought (ouch!) yesterday afternoon when Michael T. sent me the link to a news story.

When I removed the Comments link from the bottom of the daily page I made it difficult for my readers to submit stuff.

I still want to stay with this format, but I also invite anyone and everyone to submit whatever cool stuff you would like. So just click on a blue MjL link anywhere and send it to me.

I will probably share it on the blog anyway, but if you really want me to share it then just leave a short note saying so!

I had to say how thoroughly disgusted I was after viewing Countdown last evening and to see how derelict Duh-bya was in his duties as Commander-In-Chief.

I find it hard to believe the new lows this creature can sink to — but to avoid paying homage to the veterans he sent off to war is pretty low.

I guess he is so self-absorbed he can’t understand that there are a few ceremonies that actually mean something. This low-life so-and-so conveniently schedules himself a 5 day weekend at his precious getaway in Texas rather than be bothered with honoring our veterans at Arlington Cemetary on Veteran’s day.

I was willing to think this was just the hare-brained idea of a staffer until we get to some of the details. A binder full of specific printed questions?

More than one individual involved in supplying questions and warning not to go public? I can’t believe a control freak like Hillarity would have something like this going on without her knowledge and consent, if not outright participation.

“In South Korea, for instance, the average apartment can get an Internet connection that’s 15 times faster than a typical U.S. connection.

In Paris, a “triple play” of TV, phone and broadband service costs less than half of what it does in the U.S.” Proof that countries which regulate business for the benefit of the citizens provide better consumer services and are more prosperous for them.

The only thing American service providers care about is money ... anything else is irrelevant to them. This stupidity is lowering our standard of living.”

Is U.S. stuck in Internet’s slow lane?
