Quite the ice storm yesterday. I was afraid our power would go out as it sometimes does when we get freezing rain but that didn’t happen. Noah was going to spend the morning with Denise but decided the roads were too nasty to venture out. We all had a pretty lazy morning since we didn’t want to go outside in the mess. I went out long enough to dump some salt on the front walk and steps but I don’t think it did much good. Noah said it didn’t melt it but made it “bumpy” enough to walk on without slipping. I just hope they get to the secondary roads before everybody heads out for work and school today.

No Nativity Scene

The supreme court has ruled that there cannot be a nativity scene in Washington DC this Christmas.

This isn’t for any religious reason. They simply have not been able to find three wise men and a virgin in the nation’s capitol.
