When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmas time. Why are we not grateful to God for filling our stockings with legs?
Tracey called around 5:30 last evening to let me know her meetings were done for the day. Her train was late getting into Chicago and then the cab ride was almost a half-hour long so she had to rush to make her meeting time of 1:30 p.m. She said she wasnt the last one there but barely made it on time. She didnt get to check her luggage and took it to the meeting with her or she would have been late for sure. We debated whether she should take the earlier train but thought she would have plenty of time. Wrong. If she does this again, and it sounds like she might ... She needs to plan on more than an hour and a half between scheduled train arrival and meeting time.
I got a text message at 9:30 from Tracey telling me she was back to her room. I called her to say good night and she told me all about the variety of Italian food she had for dinner. She even had Calamari (squid) but said she couldnt eat any legs or anything that looked obviously squidish. Thats the only thing I envy her about these trips is that the restaurants in the big cities usually have some variety on the menu we dont have around here and you can find authentic ethnic foods instead of the chain food that pretends.
