There’s nothing sadder in this world
than to awake Christmas morning and not be a child.

Yesterday was a VERY lazy day at this Legel house.  Aaron & Ben spent most of the day playing murderous games on their computers (When they weren’t sleeping).  Noah was with his sweetie until late afternoon and then he lounged around our house the rest of the afternoon and evening.  Tracey and I just settled in to watch the snow flurries while she knitted and I messed with the computer.  I think this may be the first time she has had two days off in a row since our vacation!  If all goes well she will have today and Christmas day off as well.  Four days in a row!

A residential street is blocked by fallen tree limbs in Oklahoma City, Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007. A winter storm has coated much of Oklahoma in ice, knocking out power to more than 400,000 homes and businesses.

At The Airport

When I stopped the bus to pick up Chris for preschool, I noticed an older woman hugging him as he left the house.  “Is that your grandmother?” I asked.

“Yes,” Chris said.  “She’s come to visit us for Christmas.”

“How nice,” I said.  “Where does she live?”

“At the airport,” Chris replied.  “Whenever we want her, we just go out there and get her.”
