To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it.G. K. Chesterton |
Tracey worked late last evening so I watched a TV show about December 21, 2012. The whole subject is that according to various prophets, oracles, soothsayers, etc. the world ends on that date. They start out with the Mayan calendar and work their way through all these people throughout history who, for one reason or another, (or no reason given at all) predict this day to mark a huge cataclysm on the planet. I just hope I have clean underwear. I spent a while yesterday scanning documents. I like to keep information and receipts because they are helpful sometimes when questions arise about what was done when, where or why. I hate to keep a cabinet full of paper so I scan them. Except I got lazy (well, lazier) around Thanksgiving and they started piling up. Everything from insurance bills to medical claims needed sorting, scanning and filing. As confusing as my medical insurance is about deductibles, co-pays, etc. it has been a good thing having those bills to refer to. Especially the couple times Ive had a doctor try to double bill me and the insurance. Amazing how nice they get when you catch them with their thumb on the scale. |
A Romanian farmer shows genetically modified soybeans in the village of Varasti (130km southeast of Bucharest) in this May 21, 2004 file picture. European Commission lawyers have stopped Polands move to ban trade and plantings of genetically modified (GMO) seeds, saying it had no scientific justification, the EUs Official Journal said on Monday.(Bogdan Cristel/Reuters) |
Gods Problem Now When the graveside service had barely ended, there was a tremendous burst of thunder accompanied by a distant lightning bolt and more rumbling thunder. The little old man looked at the pastor and calmly said, Well, shes there. |
