This 2002 file photo shows Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, daughter of the late Dimocrat president John F.Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy, during a press conference in Paris. US presidential hopeful Barack Obummer won a glowing comparison to the late Dimocrat hero John F. Kennedy Saturday, in an endorsement for his campaign by the revered president’s daughter.

The appointment with the #Dentist is later this morning. There is a great temptation not to go but I have to fix that broken tooth eventually. I really hope to get it done in one trip but fear it will likely take two or three. I think going to the dentist may be one of the few things left in life that still fills me with a feeling of unease. Perhaps because they have caused the greatest pain and discomfort in my life!

I’ve been hearing about this wonderful tax rebate that we are supposed to be getting but I wonder if it is free and clear —— an advance on our tax refund for next year —— taxable next year —— whatever? The media is quick to bray about the numbers but leaves out all the important details.

I guess in the long run it doesn’t matter —— it is what it is and I won’t turn it away —— but it would be nice to know the details now in order to plan for the future.

I have been resisting the soap box on the tax issue because I know everyone out there feels the same way I do about our wasted tax dollars. I might drag it out eventually anyway just to make me feel better.

Amen to both....dentists and taxes!

I know--long time no hear, but I’m still here! It’s just been a busy month. I was going to write my gripe over the weekend, but didn’t get around to it.

On Friday, Dave found out that his thyroid is acting up -- overactive. I sent him to the drs. in Dec. because I thought he had something wrong with his thyroid. So far, this thyroid has cost over 300.00 and we haven’t even got any real meds. yet!

Friday was another office visit, 3 more vials of blood drawn and telling him that he needs to have this test done at the hospital. $$$$$$

I know medical advances are wonderful, but that’s why this thyroid diagnosis is going to cost an outrageous amount of money! His thyroid “numbers” are out of whack so now we have to do this expensive test to see what caused them to go out of whack.

I had to get a prescription for pills to take to help while we do all of this testing. In the end, the numbers that were known in the beginning will be used to prescribe the “real” medicine. I’m sure in the “olden days”, he would of been on the “real” meds. by now and feeling a whole lot better!

Hi There!
You’re right —— long time no see! Give Dave my condolences for having to go through all this. Let’s hope in the long run they can get the right meds to make him feel better. I know just what you mean about the fancy tests and machines. After they get all this technology they have to use it to pay it off —— so of course you need a full cat scan for a hangnail or whatever. And they hold your health hostage to all this stuff. Hopefully they will be satisfied with whatever they find and start treating the problem.

From what I’ve researched, I believe each person over 18 making atleast 3,000 in 2007 will get 600. Anyone under 18 and didn’t make 3,000 (ben and aaron) you should get 300 per. It sounds like it will be about 8-10 weeks but that can aways be bumped back. And the media isn’t letting you know that the rebates WILL BE taxed for 2008.

My mother had thyroid problems about 6 years ago. I understand the whole “Loop” the medical Field sends you in. I hope the best for Dave and I know he will feel much better as soon as he gets his medicine.
