Tracey worked a split shift again yesterday so we had lunch together at Applebee’s. It was a really long day for her as she opened at 5 a.m. and then closed at around 9:30 p.m. Ben & Aaron came home early from school ... some kind of teachers institute day or some nonsense ... they get Monday off too so it won’t be quiet around here for a while. I don’t mind happy noise but it gets too angry sometimes. Noah went with Denise and her Mom to visit with Denise’s Grandma in St. Louis. They won’t be back probably until late Sunday. We don’t see much of Noah & Denise anymore as they are always out and about. As is perfectly natural for two young people at their age!
I spent probably two hours late last night fussing with my DVD burner. I can’t seem to get it to burn a disc properly and I can’t figure out why. I am beginning to suspect I have some bad discs but I will have to fool with it some more to figure it out. I really hate technical difficulties. I am impatient on my best day and lately ... well let’s just say I have not been happy. :-( |
I’m having “technical difficulties” right now.....a cat!!
I’m finally “in style”...I have a flat screen LCD monitor! YEA!!! Well, Tugger really likes to chase all of the arrows words, etc. that go flying across the screen. By getting this kind of monitor, I have much more room on my desk now so he’s made himself at home! Don’t worry, the extra space will be soon filled with more piles though!!
Dave had the last of his tests yesterday at the hosp. I guess the guys there diagnosed him as having Graves disease. Then they tried to do a treatment on him. Thank goodness Dave had sense enough to tell them that he’s just trying to get diagnosed right now! I’m getting a little impatient with Dave’s new dr. I called the office in Oct. to schedule a physical and to get his thyroid fixed. It’s Feb. and we’re still waiting!!!! We don’t go see the dr. for results until the 25th. The dr. better have all the results, diagnosis and treatment choices, etc. and move a little faster or we’re going to swith drs. I kind of wish that I would of had Dave switch to my dr. from the beginning. I just didn’t think Dave would care for mine since he’s young, “wet behind the ears”, a health nut, and can come off as a little arrogant on some/most days! I think we would of been treated by now though with him!!

| This is really for Tracey. I’ve been researching/reading about Graves disease. Does Tracey have any opinions about RAI??? I haven’t seen alot of “good” things about it for a treatment for Graves. I’m thinking I’m leaning towards drugs first. I hate “using” relatives for medical advice, but I really want to be “ready” when we go to the drs. I’m not 100% sure of this drs. “best interest” for us yet! |
