Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die,
your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck.

I am so disgusted with the infantile tantrums the GOP continue to use to attempt to circumvent due process.  Walking out to protest holding the Bush administration accountable is just another ridiculous waste of time and money by these buffoons in a continuing charade to protect this most inept administration from facing punishment for breaking the law.  I certainly hope the Democrats win a clear majority in both houses and the Presidency.  They couldn’t screw this country up any more than the GOP has done in this administration.  Every damn time somebody tries to force these unspeakable traitors to adhere to the law and the Constitution they play the same GOP political stunts holding our country hostage to their party bullshit.  I just wish the Democrats had the balls to have them thrown in jail where they belong.

In a file photo FEMA trailers that are being used for housing for University of New Orleans students and faculty are shown early Monday Morning in New Orleans, Aug. 28, 2006. U.S. health officials Thursday Feb. 14, 2008, are urging that Gulf Coast hurricane victims be moved out of their government-issued trailers as quickly as possible after tests found toxic levels of formaldehyde fumes.

I Miss Bill Clinton

It doesn’t matter what party you belong to - this is hilarious.

From a show on Canadian TV, there was a black comedian who said he misses Bill Clinton.

“Yep, that’s right - I miss Bill Clinton!  He was the closest thing we ever got to having a black man as President.
Number 1 - He played the sax.
Number 2 - He smoked weed.
Number 3 - He had his way with ugly white women.

Even now!!  Look at him...  his wife works, and he doesn’t!  And, he gets a check from the government every month.

Manufacturers announced today that they will be stocking America’s shelves this week with “Clinton Soup,” in honor of one of the nations’most distinguished men.  It consists primarily of a weenie in hot water.

Chrysler Corporation is adding a new car to its line to honor Bill Clinton.  The Dodge Drafter will be built in Canada.

When asked what he thought about foreign affairs, Clinton replied, “I don’t know, I never had one.”

The Clinton revised judicial oath: “I solemnly swear to tell the truth as I know it, the whole truth as I believe it to be, and nothing but what I think you need to know.”

Clinton will be recorded in history as the only President to do Hanky Panky between Bushes.”

The FISA question the right can’t answer

From the Right we hear:  National Review’s Andy McCarthy:

“Well it looks like the unconscionable is about to occur. I am hearing from several sources that the House is planning to recess on Friday without taking up the Senate bill. That would mean the lapse of our surveillance authority at midnight…. President Bush has to keep pounding this, as does Sen. McCain. This is not politics, folks. For grown-ups, this is life and death.”

If the powers extended through the PPA were genuinely a matter of “life and death,” and the bill’s expiration were “unconscionable,” they why not drop telecom immunity?

Look, if it’s that important, there’s a simple answer: pass the bill without telecom immunity. Then come back and introduce immunity in a separate bill. If you’ve got the votes for it, fine. If not, too bad. I’m against immunity myself — though hardly hellbent on the subject — but whichever way the vote went, in the meantime we’d have the FISA extension and surveillance could continue normally.

But that’s not on the table. The supposed grownups in the GOP are, apparently, perfectly happy to play around with “life and death” if it’s in the service of a bit of demagogic brinksmanship over telecom immunity.

The Naked Cowboy

Now here’s a new twist.  This guy makes a name for himself running around in his tighty whities ... Mars candy uses this image to sell M&Ms ... should the guy get compensation?  I think so.  I don’t think the ad people would have EVER thought of the concept if he had not first made it famous.  What are the odds they would have dressed an M&M in hat, boots and underwear otherwise?

“That would mean the lapse of our surveillance authority at midnight….”

Isn’t it rather ironic that what is holding this up is that Bush and the TelCo’s violated the FISA surveillance authority to begin with?  They are guilty, otherwise there would be no need/push for immunity.

There are a bunch of people that need to go to jail for treasonous crimes and Congress is holding hearings about baseball players using performance enhancing drugs!

UNBELIEVABLE!
