Here we are ... Leap Day! Doesnt really feel any different than any other to me?
Michael T. and I are going to breakfast this morning so I have to haul Ben & Aaron to school. I hoped they would get the Ford put back together yesterday but the repair shop says they couldnt get all the parts together in time. It is supposed to be done by 3:00 this afternoon ... so we shall see.
I am surprised at how mixed my feelings are about not having a car around all day. I dont mind having a ready excuse as to why I cant go get groceries or whatever but I also feel somehow trapped by not having a car. Even though I didnt have any plans to go anywhere.
Noah was late getting home last night because, he said, they were doing nothing to clear the highways of snow. I dont doubt it. I know they have been running short of salt and in our area of Illinois that is about all they do. Drive around and dump salt. I think that big, heavy plow blade on the front of the truck is just to counterbalance the load of salt in the back because we so seldom see the plow blade actually plowing snow. Weird.
