Since I didn’t have a car all week I had to go shopping yesterday.  I enticed Tracey to go with me by taking her out to breakfast.  It didn’t take long for me to realize I don’t ever want to shop on Saturday again.  It was really busy.  There were no real problems ... the check out lanes were running smooth, etc.  It is just hard to get around and get your stuff with all those people!

Tracey and I had dinner with Mom and DD at the Cracker Barrel.  We got a pretty good waitress this time and they had coleslaw again.  That’s two weekends in a row!  They still don’t have any tomato soup or chili but that’s par for the course.  We went back to Mom’s as usual to palaver, grumble and gripe.  We are all in agreement that Spring can’t get here too soon and we are happy with the thought that Daylight Savings Time will get here soon!
(Next Weekend!!)

It was after 11:30 last night before Ben made it home from his trip to Chicago.  I was beginning to worry because I know he has a midnight curfew for driving, but he made it home in time.  He was totally exhausted but it sounds like he had a really great time and some good adventures.  He stumbled off to bed real fast so we won’t get the details until he wakes up later today.
Well, hello!  It seems like forever since I put my 2 cents in here!  So.....last week stunk -- mostly.
Sun.-- took Ashley to the Jonas Bros. concert...oh, to be
      that young again!
Mon.--Dave was “officially” diagnosed with Graves.  We have
a referral in with an Endocronologist.
One of my good friends was diagnosed with Dystonia.
        It’s a form of Parkinson’s disease.  (she’s 51)
Thurs.--My dad had an outpatient surgery done at 7 a.m.
It was a removal and biopsy of a tiny “mass”.
Thurs.-- 10 p.m. my dad was in the ER and was admitted.
Fri.-- had to have surgery again because they thought
that the catheter had poked a hole in his bladder
This time, they admitted him and he’s still there,
but doing fine.  He hopes to be “sprung” tomorrow
Sat., Sun. visiting dad
And, oh, I’m sure I had to scoop some snow in there one of those days!!
Yep, this week has got to be better!
Andy goes to either district or state with his FFA record book on Wed. night in Manlius, IL (by Lasalle/Peru, 1 1/2 hours away) so keep your fingers crossed.
Have a good week -- wasn’t today GREAT!!!  Ah, the windows open and fresh air once again!
