Jake and I went grocery shopping yesterday. Over the years we would put Jake in the back seat of the car and he would jump between the seats when we left the car and we would find him sitting in the drivers seat when we came back. Lately old Jake can manage to jump forward but cant seem to negotiate his return to the back seat without a lot of trouble. Tracey and I took the cargo net from the Blazer that is supposed to be across the very back to keep stuff from falling out when you open the rear hatch and we rigged it between the the two front seats so Jake cant jump up front. He is not happy about this turn of events ... but at least he isnt getting himself all hung up trying to jump back and forth. Its gotten so I have to push his butt up into the seat to get him into the Blazer about half the time. He always looks back over his shoulder like he is mortally embarrassed. Its either shove him in or leave him home and I know how he hates to be left behind.
