The least of learning is done in the classrooms.
Thomas Merton (1915 - 1968)
Since I didn’t have a car all week I had to go shopping yesterday.  I enticed Tracey to go with me by taking her out to breakfast.  It didn’t take long for me to realize I don’t ever want to shop on Saturday again.  It was really busy.  There were no real problems ... the check out lanes were running smooth, etc.  It is just hard to get around and get your stuff with all those people!

Tracey and I had dinner with Mom and DD at the Cracker Barrel.  We got a pretty good waitress this time and they had coleslaw again.  That’s two weekends in a row!  They still don’t have any tomato soup or chili but that’s par for the course.  We went back to Mom’s as usual to palaver, grumble and gripe.  We are all in agreement that Spring can’t get here too soon and we are happy with the thought that Daylight Savings Time will get here soon!
(Next Weekend!!)

It was after 11:30 last night before Ben made it home from his trip to Chicago.  I was beginning to worry because I know he has a midnight curfew for driving, but he made it home in time.  He was totally exhausted but it sounds like he had a really great time and some good adventures.  He stumbled off to bed real fast so we won’t get the details until he wakes up later today.

[MjL -->  Now doesn’t that look like the face of a spoiled child about to have a temper tantrum because he can’t have his own way.  Why has this cretin not been impeached?]

Census

A census taker in a rural area went up to a farmhouse and knocked.  When a woman came to the door, he asked her how many children she had and their ages.

She said, ‘Les’ see now, there’s the twins, Sally and Billy, they’re thirty-two.  And the twins, Seth & Beth, they’re twenty-six.  And the twins, Penny and Jenny , they’re twenty-four ..  ‘

‘Hold on!’ said the census taker, ‘Did you get twins EVERY time?’

The woman answered, ‘Heck no, there were hundreds of times we didn’t get nothin.’
