The time change messed me up more than usual yesterday. Well, I actually messed me up because I wasnt thinking. I took my blood sugar pills later than usual on Saturday evening after I got home from Moms, then I got up a little early and took them Sunday morning without considering the hour difference from the Daylight Savings Time change. So my blood sugar dumped on me and I felt like crap most of yesterday morning. I was much better after Tracey took me to breakfast though!
After breakfast Tracey had me chauffer her all over Pekin looking for office property for lease so she could tell her boss where she wants Fresenius to build her new clinic. I was really surprised at how many buildings are vacant in Pekin. I figure most of those in East Court Village are probably just because nobody wants to deal with the horrible way Cullinan laid out the buildings and parking, so that area wasnt too surprising. I was more surprised to see one or two properties in most of the shopping plazas around town as well as the old Rex TV & Appliance, the old Leath, the old Steak & Shake, and the soon to be vacant Walgreens. I cant imagine why Pekin Hospital is taking such a hard line on negotiating a more expensive lease when they could lose Fresenius altogether. But then Pekin Hospital isnt noted for the brightest financial dealings in town. Look how long they kept that loser who was running their Home Health Department into the ground.
