I am late this morning because I slept in. This Blog entry is backwards from my usual posts because it is in reply to Tammys comment which she made while I was asleep because the boys are on Spring Break and so am I. I agree yesterday was the day Spring began but today is the first FULL day of Spring. You are correct that I did not note Good Friday or that today is NOT an official postal holiday. I regret that I have let you down and will endeavor to do better in the future. Please forgive this betrayal of your trust! If elected I will ... oh wait ... wrong speech. Never mind. Good Morning!
I know it is the most remote coincidence that Noah visits this volcano in the same month as a rare eruption but I am very glad he is home safe just the same! These things have a way of giving me a total weird out. In 1973 my brother Alan and I decided NOT to camp in Big Thompson canyon in Colorado and drove straight home in the rain only to find out about the disastrous flood there that very night. We were SO glad we decided to come home! In 1988 we took baby Noah to Yellowstone only to get caught up in the worst forest fire in the history of the park. In fact we drove up from the Tetons through the south entrance to Yellowstone only minutes before the fire jumped the road. The rangers told us there would be a little smoke but just drive on up. We ended up being forced to evacuate via the north park road and had to drive clear down the west side of the Tetons and back up to our camper in Teton park. I have a couple other examples of bad things on vacation trips but the idea is the same. Our family seems to have uncanny luck and Im real glad Noah is home while this volcano starts acting up!

A kind-hearted fellow was walking through Centenial Park in Sydney & was astonished to see an old man, fishing rod in hand, fishing over a beautiful bed of lilies.
Tch Tch! said the passer-by to himself. What a sad sight. That poor old man is fishing over a bed of flowers. Ill see if I can help. So the kind fellow walked up to the old man and asked, What are you doing, my friend?
Fishin, sir.
Fishin, eh? Well how would you like to come have a drink with me?
The old man stood, put his rod away and followed the kind stranger to the corner bar.
He ordered a large glass of beer and a fine cigar.
His host, the kind fellow, felt good about helping the old man, and he asked, Tell me, old friend, how many did you catch this morning?
The old fellow took a long drag on the cigar, blew a careful smoke ring and replied, You are the sixth today, sir!
