After printing some maps and directions yesterday morning Tracey and I tried to explain in detail to Aaron and Ben how to navigate to their grandparents house in Watson, IL. We also told them to be careful about their speed because it was a holiday weekend and the cops would be out ... especially in the 55 MPH speed zones and interchanges along the way. They set off on their great adventure at just past 11:00 a.m. Aaron was driving and Ben was navigator. Tracey went off to work and I waited to see if the phone would ring. It did at about 1:30 when Aaron called to tell me they had arrived safely and that We didnt mess up!. I was almost as proud as he was for making the trip without making a wrong turn or something. I knew they could do it and now they do too. I suppose they thought their Mother and I were hovering too much but it was the first time they had wandered off on their own for a two hour drive and we naturally worry about our precious treasures. Now we can breathe easy until they make the trip home next week!
