I took some time to fire the mower up and drive it out of the Mootel. I had to air up a couple tires and go get some gas but eventually I got to start mowing. The north end of the property was still fairly swampy as I had feared but I managed to get through the worst of it without getting stuck. I’m glad I mowed it before we got any more rain because it was actually getting quite thick to mow already. Aaron and Ben also mowed their sections last evening so it looks pretty spiffy.
The one thing I had forgotten about was Mower Back. I get that from jouncing and bouncing around on that machine. I was stiff by the time bedtime rolled around and I am still feeling it this morning. Note to self: Mow slower ... bounce less!

I think we just had an Earthquake? If not ... something was shaking my house and I better find out what it was!

| We sure did! 5.4 centered near Olney Illinois. I thought that an alien had finally came to visit and was shaking the bed to wake me up. All the handles on our dresser began rattling. My clock read 4:38AM....Cool! Kind of. |

| I had been up about 15 minutes and sitting at the computer when my little lamp started vibrating. Then things started shaking more until I could hear stuff rattling in the kitchen cabinets. I jumped up and was going to wake Tracey when it quit. Lasted maybe 10 seconds. Spooky! |

| I slept right through it. My mom didn’t remember feeling anything but she remembers waking up and looking at the clock at the exact time the earthquake hit. So it must have woke her up. I always sleep through cool stuff like that :(. Years ago I slept through a tornado that hit Washington. It woke everyone else up because they said it sounded like a loud train but I didn’t hear anything. |
