I have to say there seems to be a wide support for vacationing in Dollywood! I told Tracey you guys had decided where we should go (for vacation that is) and she wasnt so too excited about it. I dont know if it was my delivery or if she isnt too keen on Dolly or what. The real key to this adventure is going to be selling two 16 year olds on where they really want, no ... NEED to go see! The other alternative is to ship them down to the Neal farm for a week while Tracey and I go somewhere. But we would really rather the whole family go somewhere together because the time we have together like this is dwindling. We have already learned from Noah that once they get out of high school and find other interests ... Mom and Dad dont see much of them anymore!
It looks like Tracey will have to work this afternoon to cover for one of her employees. That is the trouble with having just enough staff to run the place ... whenever anyone has to miss work everyone has to scramble to cover for them and it often ends up being Tracey. Rats!
Dollywood really is a pretty amusement park, but you do have to like amusement parks. Ive been looking and thinking again this morning (instead of paying the bills!)and Im not so sure about Tybee Island, GA. Im thinking more about Charleston, SC and Myrtle Beach, SC area. Ashley likes the amusement parks and Andy likes historical. These places offer both. I found some on-line coupons and discounts for an amusement/water park near Myrtle Beach. The only problem wed have is how to get home from Dandridge, TN! Geez, theres nothing around there for homeward bound transportation! Knoxville, TN airport is outrageously priced! I really, really dont want to drive it...Disney spoilage once again! Of course, wed all still like to go to Alaska, but its way too expensive!!
