Some people think a song without words isn’t a real song.  Tell that to Beethoven and he’ll kick your ass!
Eddie Van Halen
OK my dear blog readers ... I need some advice.  I have this little subroutine in my blog file that figures out what page to start you on based on today’s date.  So when you arrive it is always (currently) going to start with today.  But now that there is really nothing personal written for today until later in the day you end up perhaps missing what was written yesterday.  So should I leave the blamed thing start on today because, well, it IS today — or should I have it start out on yesterday’s date because you will probably have to start there to see what happened yesterday that I wrote about late yesterday ... or what?

I woke up with a bone in my neck again this morning.  So I took two Excedrin and went back to bed.  Thus I am way behind on all my morning routines and I HATE that.  You just never know how much of your day is routine habit until you mess it up!  Rats & Boogers!
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., speaks during a meeting of Democratic Governors at the Chicago History Museum in Chicago Friday, June 20, 2008. A new seal debuted on Obama’s podium Friday, sporting iconography used in the U.S. presidential seal, the blue background, the eagle clutching arrows on left and olive branch on right, but with symbolic differences. Instead of the Latin ‘E pluribus unum’ (Out of many, one), Obama’s says ‘Vero possumus’, rough Latin for ‘Yes, we can.’ Instead of ‘Seal of the President of the United States’, Obama’s Web site address is listed. And instead of a shield, Obama’s eagle wears his ‘O’ campaign logo with a rising sun representing hope ahead.

Ice Cream Truck

Two men were grumbling over their problems.  The first man said, “My wife left me for a man who drives an ice cream truck.”

His friend began to ask, “You mean...”

“Yeah,” the first guy replied.  “She left me for Mr. Softy.”

I know...change....but it was a very lonely and quiet coffee hour here!

I know Tammy, but I got to sleep in!  I don’t want to get up at O’Dark-Thirty every morning to type up what happened yesterday in the blog.  I like this where I can type it up as the day goes along or just before I go to bed.  And I don’t have to keep typing “yesterday”.  I was beginning to feel like a historian!

You are a “historian” of sorts -- history according to and in the life of Michael Legel!  :)

I don’t know if this helps you or not, but I set your blog as a desktop item once a week.  So, it doesn’t matter to me what date you have it open to because it opens to the date that I’ve set.  That was a mouthful!
Tammy 22 Jun 2008, 10:54 a.m.
I’ve worked most of the day to put up a comment log of sorts at the left.  I have it so it will list new entries (I hope!) but I still have some work to do on getting it to link properly via a script.  For now I will have to add the page links as they come in until I can figure out how to automate it.

Tracey spent a lot of time tooling around on her scooter.  She took some sidewalk chalk and marked out an obstacle course on the driveway.  She has to weave back and forth down a course of cones 12 feet apart and offset a foot each.

I think I am done messing with this blog for today!
