Two doctors were in a hospital hallway one day complaining about Nurse Nancy. Shes incredibly mixed up, said one doctor. She does everything absolutely backwards.
Just last week, I told her to give a patient 2 milligrams of morphine every 10 hours. She gave him 10 milligrams every 2 hours. He damn near died on us!
The second doctor said, Thats nothing. Earlier this week, I told her to give a patient an enema every 24 hours. She tries to give him 24 enemas in one hour! The guy damn near exploded!
Suddenly, they hear this bloodcurdling scream from down the hall. Oh my God!, said the first doctor, I just realized I told Nurse Nancy to prick Mr. Smiths boil!
Andy is home! We picked him up last night. Seems like hes been gone forever! I cant imagine how Noah and Phoenix will feel! I know you have to let go sometime and that they do leave the nest, but.... Andy had a good time hangin with all of the senior citizens. Andy has the patience, sense of humor, and laid back personality to get along with all. His next adventure is our vacation...less than 3 weeks away! Where, oh where has the summer gone already??

Tammy => Time flies! We had been expecting Noah to leave the nest since ever since he graduated from high school but I guess we never considered he would move half way across the country. We just hope it all works out financially for them.
Glad to hear Andy is enjoying his summer too. I would really love to have a camper and just go wandering. I suspect I wouldnt be around most of the winter anyway! Now it looks like we will have another western state we can go stay at!

I originally started this blog as a fun project to play with html code. I slowly branched out to some JavaScript and then converted to PHP and MySQL database. I used no templates or blogging services and still dont. I think working with the code and design of the page are probably as much fun for me as the content ... and an outlet to rant about what I really think. Recently I broadened my horizons a bit further when I discovered the community of bloggers in the Peoria area, many of whom are affiliated with the Blog Peoria Project. I tentatively put my foot in the water and have slowly spent more time reading and commenting on other blogs. This has added the pleasing benefit of having a larger audience for my blog and the occasional comment I get from this wider community.
Another aspect I noted early on was the number of blogs that have advertising on them. I was curious about this, wondering if the pay-off was worth the annoyance of commercializing something I find entertaining. I just saw an ad on one of the local blogs that brought that thought to a screeching halt. An ad from some company selling a video tape explaining how the Employee Free Choice Act was BAD for employees and business. I dont suppose the blog owner has any control over which ads cycle through the spot contracted, but I could never have my name associated with something so obviously vile, uninformed and hateful. There would be virtually no middle class in this country were it not for the influence of labor unions. And as people actively aid and abet the corporate dismantling of labor laws, our middle class jobs are disappearing, our labor laws are being shredded, and our workers are returning to wage slave status.
So to any of my newfound friends in the blogging community ... please use a social conscience when selling your space for commercial ads. I dont know how much control you have over this, but please use it to help your fellow citizens, not to help big business and the government representatives they have bought to further degrade our standard of living for greed of the almighty dollar. Thank You. [Rant Mode Off]
Its been awhile since Ive left any comments, guess Ive been kinda busy. Right now Im taking another break from packing. Its a lot of work but Noahs been really helpful! I think weve been taking turns with getting frustrated; which is good - at least its not at the same time. Were both tired, stressed, excited, and anxious (trying to pack everything in a couple days doesnt help).
Along with packing weve been trying to see as many family members and friends as possible before we leave. Im so glad we got to have dinner with you guys Sat. night and hopefully I will get to stop by the house one more time before we leave. This morning Noah and I headed to Canton to stop by my step-sisters house so we could see her, her husband, and our 11 day old niece one last time before we take off.
Shes so adorable! Ill be sending you pictures from the day Haidyn she born and from earlier today. Also, my sister gave me pics from her wedding so Ill send you one of those as well so you can see how everyone was color-coordinated.
Thats all for now, I need sleep! Ill be sure to keep everyone updated.
