I finally got my scooter running but I dont know if it will stay that way until I ride it more. I bought a new trickle charger with an automatic shut-off and it took over 24 hours at the 2 amp setting to charge up that little scooter battery. It must have really been dead!
I talked with the scooter repair guy in Freeport. He faxed us the estimate of what it will take to repair Traceys scooter and it was over $2,000! Doesnt take much these days to run up a score does it!? I just hope there are no problems with the insurance adjuster or with getting the parts soon.
I have to go to the doctors office this morning to get some blood sucked out of my arm so they can test if for blood sugar, cholesterol, rust, mineral deposits and what-all else. Its a pain both figuratively and physically. I might luck out and get a nurse who knows how to hit a vein in one stab without bruising me up so I look like a heroin addict ... but I doubt it. Then I get to go back Friday so they can use my blood test results to accuse me of not being a compliant patient. I can tell them that without the blood sucking if they would just ask!
Weve had so much rain lately I am beginning to think we will be living in a tropical rain forest soon. The weeds are growing faster than I can keep up with them and the grass needs mowing again!

I survived my trip to the doctors office ... just barely. The first scuffle was over taking blood for cholesterol tests ... I refused. I am tired of paying for this every three months when I have no intention whatever of taking experimental cholesterol drugs that are not proven to do anything beneficial. Then the nurse stabs me once in each arm without getting a drop of blood. So she goes to get another nurse who finally manages to stab a vein. Of course I have to go a round with her too about the stupid cholesterol tests. I dont really need the test for blood sugar either ... I can do that at home, but I have to keep the doctor happy to get my diabetes drugs. If it wasnt for the miserable excuse for a medical system in this country I could simply get the drugs I need without paying a doctor $100 every 3 months to tell me what I already know: I have diabetes and I need to take drugs for it.
