Sadly a large percentage of Americans look at the cartoon above and smile in agreement.  Every day they watch ridiculous commercial propaganda about “Clean Coal” and oil company slogans like “Beyond Petroleum” while these oil giants buy up and bury renewable energy patents.  My favorite example of this is the BP ad that shows windmills spinning behind a gas station.  They somehow think the inclusion of background windmills will convince you that driving a petrol powered vehicle is NOT warming the globe.
