Semper Fi The Commanding Officer of a Regiment in the U. S. Marine Corps was about to start the morning briefing to his Staff and Battalion and Company Commanders. While waiting for the coffee machine to finish its brewing, he decided to pose a question to all assembled. He explained that his wife had been a bit frisky the night before and he failed to get his usual amount of sound sleep. He posed the question of just how much of sex was work and how much of it was pleasure? The X.O. chimed in with 75-25% in favor of work.
A Captain said it was 50-50%.
The Colonels Aide, a Lt., responded with 25-75% in favor of pleasure, depending on his state of inebriation at the time.
There being no consensus, the Colonel turned to the PFC who was in charge of making the coffee. What was HIS opinion?
With no hesitation, the young PFC responded, Sir, it has to be 100% pleasure.
The Colonel was surprised and, as you might guess, asked why?
Well, Sir, began the PFC, if there was any work involved, the officers would have me doing it for them.
The room fell silent. God Bless the Marine Corps.
Yesterday was registration day at the high school. Aaron and Ben have some classes that were scheduled wrong and wanted to get them changed ... so I called the school to make sure the guidance counselor would be there to make the changes. I was told she would be there so I dragged the boys out of bed. She was there but she wasnt making any schedule changes. So before the boys even get to start school the people who run the place cant get their stories straight. I was also more than a little disgusted with the forms again. They have been going to that school for 10 years and every year they want the same bleepity forms filled out over and over again. I skipped at least half of the junk they should already know and nobody seemed to notice. I suspect they get tossed into a file cabinet along with all the other forms I didnt fill out for the past 10 years. One thing I did change was that they had my name next to mother and Traceys next to father. I also changed it last year and the year before. Sheesh even. This year they are starting the food credit card stuff and about had a fit when I told them I wasnt putting any money in the account. They simply refused to listen when I explained that I would be giving the money to Aaron and Ben each week and if the boys wanted to eat their lousy food then Aaron or Ben could put the money in the account. I think the whole point is that the school fools are trying to get money out of the school altogether and I fail to see how that will teach the kids how to handle money. I dont think they are much concerned about teaching kids how to handle money but about how to make life easier for themselves. I did write a check for $160 to pay the extortion to get them registered. Add that to the $2,376 they already took out of my real estate taxes and who knows how much from state and federal taxes. Then we can look forward to paying little extortions along the way for supplies, etc.

The boys are seniors this year?? It cost me 188.00 for Ashley. I cant imagine how much those parents pay for their kids to go to school when theyre in sports!! I only had to pay the straight fee because Ashley isnt in any sports.
Highway robbery: textbooks for ICC = $386.00!!!
I sure hope the teachers teach out of them!
79 for a high today....FABULOUS!!!!

Hi Tammy => Aaron and Ben are Juniors this year. And thank goodness neither of them is in sports because then we would have had the sports physicals to pay for along with all those fees as well. Education has turned into quite a business hasnt it?! That weather does sound great ... hope it doesnt rain.
