The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country.
George W. Bush

In this photo released by China’s Xinhua News Agency, Lin Miaoke, the nine-year-old Chinese girl at right who performed at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on Aug. 8, 2008. At left is Yang Peiyi, a 7-year-old Chinese girl whose face was not suitable for the Olympics opening ceremony, so Lin lip-synched Ode to the Motherland, the latest example of the lengths Beijing took for a perfect start to the Summer Games.
The Secret

A mother was showing her son how to zip his coat.  “The secret,” she said, “is to get the left part of the zipper to fit in the other side before you try to zip it up.”

The boy looked at her quizzically... “Why does it have to be a secret?”
Tracey is putting in another really long day again today and then again tomorrow.  She was up at 4:15 this morning but was kind enough to let me sleep in.  She had yesterday off work to make up for all the long hours she is putting in today and tomorrow.  I’m glad that she is at least doing that or else she would work herself near to death.

Still no word on her scooter ... she is really hoping it is done by Saturday and so am I.  It really shouldn’t have taken this long.

It looks like Sunday will be spent buying school supplies for Aaron and Ben.  Another year of ridiculous poster projects, special notebooks, etc.  We’ll also have to buy them some new clothes and they have basically wore out what they have over the summer.  It’s always something!
