Legendary film star Paul Newman, whose brilliant blue eyes, good looks and talent made him one of Hollywood’s top actors over six decades, has died, a spokesman said on September 27, 2008. He was 83 and had been battling cancer.
My husband came home with a tube of KY jelly and said, “This will make you happy tonight.” He was right. When he went out of the bedroom, I squirted it all over the doorknobs. He couldn’t get back in.

We may or may not have a story to tell regarding a new tire we ordered for Tracey’s scooter depending on how it ends. It was shipped via DHL and yesterday Tracey noticed a DHL delivery van stopped in the road in front of our house. It backed up and went to our neighbors house before Tracey could wave the driver down, then it left the neighbors house and went away. I was sure it was Tracey’s tire so I called the outfit in California where I had ordered the tire and discovered they had the wrong house number and the wrong town (Fremont instead of Tremont). But when I called the DHL tracking people they said our package was still in St. Lake City and wasn’t due for delivery until next Tuesday. I had the lady correct the address and we shall see what happens.
Alan, Gloria and Liz joined Mom, DD, Tracey and I for dinner last evening at the Cracked Barrel in Morton. Not a lot of news but we had some fairly good conversation especially after we went to Mom’s trailer. DD explained why you might have some concern if you wake up with an ear plug missing. And from there we shared a lot of stories and talk about everything from weird dreams to sleep apnea. Interesting!
