Bruce Springsteen entertains the crowd at a rally for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama in Cleveland, Ohio.  Obama stood on the threshold of history Monday as polls gave the Democrat a sharp edge over John McCain on the last day of campaigning for the most dramatic presidential vote in a generation.

The Honeymoon

Paddy takes his new wife home on his wedding night.

She lies on the bed, spread-eagled, naked, and says, “Paddy....you know what I want.....”

“Yeah ... the whole bed by the looks of it!”

Picture from Noah ... it is a tumbleweed.  I do not know why he sent it?

That’s a tumbleweed from somewhere in between Phoenix and Flagstaff, and the first one we’ve seen since we’ve moved here.  We went to Flagstaff completely on a whim--we left the apartment with the intention of going to the State Fair in downtown Phoenix, and ended up 200 miles to the north, go figure?

Hi Noah,
Spontaneity can be a spice of life!  Hope you and Denise had a great time ... I know Mom was thrilled to get the texts and pictures.  We took a scooter ride for lunch and back ... then spent the afternoon napping.  We will blame that on being old and the time change.  I sure don’t like it getting an hour darker all of a sudden.  Do you guys even change your clocks back and forth?

We did have a good time, and we got to see mountains and trees!  I miss trees :P.  Denise and I aren’t old, but we want to take a nap--yesterday was tiring, haha.  Time goes on the same way for us, no clock-changing.  The cool thing is, though, that you are now only 1 hour ahead of us

I spent a couple hours on the scooter again this afternoon.  I rode east on Rt. 9 to Bloomington then back home on Rt. 150 through Carlock, Congerville and stopped for some coffee and a BLT sandwich in Goodfield.  I think it was the Busy Corner Cafe or something like that.  It was a fun ride even though the wind coming out of the south was rather brisk.  A beautiful day!  I was supposed to go grocery shopping but ... Oh Well.
