A four-month-old puppy called ‘Machu Picchu’ is seen in Lima, Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008. The owners of the animal, a Peruvian Hairless Dog, have offered it to U.S. President-elect Barack Obama. Obama has promised his daughters a new pet for the White House but one of them is allergic to most breeds. The owners of the Peruvian Hairless Dog say it is perfect for kids who are sensitive to dogs.

I went to see my doctor on Monday and she put me on insulin to control my diabetes. So now I have to check my blood sugar more often and keep track of it so I can adjust the daily dose I take. I think we should have done this at least a year ago ... but then what do I know, I’m just the stupid patient. I also got a flu shot while I was there and now my arm is a bit stiff.

I’ve taken a couple short scooter rides the past few days. The temperature has dropped into the 30s in the morning and yesterday it was a bit rainy. Tracey has been riding her scooter to and from work all week so far. She says her parking brake isn’t working right so I need to check that out. It should have an adjustment somewhere.

It is SO NICE not to have all the political ads on the TV anymore. I suppose the campaigns for 2012 will begin in a few days though.
