Where Is Jesus?
A Sunday School teacher of preschoolers was concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus Christ because of the Christmas season emphasis on His birth. He wanted to make sure they understood that the bir th of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that He grew up, etc. So he asked his class, “Where is Jesus today?”
Steven raised his hand and said, “He’s in heaven.”
Mary was called on and answered, “He’s in my heart.”
Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurted out, “I know! I know! He’s in our bathroom!!!”
The whole class got very quiet, looked at the teacher, and waited for a response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few very long seconds. Finally, he gathered his wits and asked Little Johnny how he knew this.
Little Johnny said, “Well...every morning, my father gets up, bangs on the bathroom door, and yells, “Jesus Christ, are you still in there?!” |
Over the past couple years there have been several times when I had ordered a diet cola and wasn’t sure I was served a sugar-free drink. I did some searching on the Internets and found you can use urine test strips to test for sugar in drinks ... so I bought some. Ben and I did some experiments with his soda which has sugar and mine which is sugar free. We used canned and bottled sodas to be more reliable and the test strips seemed to work perfectly. There was no change at all from my diet soda and his soda made the strip turn from a light green in color to a dark brown. So now I just have to remember to take some with me when I go out to eat.
The stupid alarm clock went off at 4 a.m. this morning so Tracey could open the clinic. In the interest of a more stable marriage I proposed a new rule that the Boss never has to get up this early ever again so the Boss’s husband doesn’t have to either. I think I got vetoed ... I’m not sure because I was too sleepy to remember what she said. I’m going back to bed until 7 a.m. when I have to make sure the boys are out of bed for school. |
