The wreckage of a 737 Continental plane sits at Denver International Airport on Sunday, Dec. 21th, 2008. The plane, bound for Houston, skidded off the runway during takeoff on Saturday evening injuring 38 of 110 passengers.
My first thought upon receiving this contribution was that I shouldnt put it on the blog because it might give our boys crazy ideas, but then I decided that was part of being a boy. I just wish I had thought of it when I was a boy!

The temperature was hovering around 0° again yesterday morning as Tracey was getting ready to go to work. She had said she thought a tire on her car was low so I offered to take her to work rather than fuss with the air compressor, etc. so early in the morning. (It also gave me an opportunity to stop in town for breakfast!)
Later in the day Ben and I went out and aired up all the tires on all three vehicles. The new tire gauge I bought froze up on us so I had to use the old one. I really prefer the dial gauge but I guess it is a fair weather deal. I was surprised to find a couple tires on the Blazer were also very low. I have been wanting to put that stop leak stuff in them but dont want to do it when it is so cold. I think our high yesterday was still below 20°.
Tracey is taking today off so I will be going back to bed to snooze for a while.

I would recommend putting nitrogen in your tires. We have it and the pressure isnt effected by temp. so when its cold the tires dont go low. Its usually 5 bucks a tire and free top offs for the rest of the time. Some people claim to get better fuel economy with nitrogen too!

Ive thought about that but have never really considered doing it because I usually have a couple tires with slow leaks (like the Blazer has now). We have an air compressor and it really isnt any trouble, usually, to just fill them up but I waited until it was too cold! Thanks for the suggestion though, I may reconsider. Where do you guys get yours filled at if I may ask?
