Archaeological volunteer Nadine Ross of the United Kingdom displays a handful of seventh century Byzantine period coins that she discovered at an excavation site outside the Old City of Jerusalem, Monday, Dec. 22nd, 2008. Zionist archaeologists say they unearthed more than 250 gold coins from the seventh century in excavations on the edge of Palestines walled Old City. Zions Antiquities Authority says the Byzantine period hoard was discovered among the ruins of a building where a 2,000-year-old gold earring from the Roman era was dug up last month.
The temperature outside is 34° this morning and it is raining. I just saw the snow plow go by our lane and it was plowing what used to be solid ice it now looks like slush. Tracey works this afternoon from about noon until 7 p.m. or so and I sure hope this rain doesnt start freezing. It probably wont but I will worry just the same.
I spent some time waiting in line yesterday. Tis the Season. I had to take a box to UPS to ship to Noah. Tracey had a couple gifts that wouldnt fit in the last box and I had some DVDs to send so we stuffed them in a box to send. If you are reading this Noah, the UPS says you should get these belated presents by Jan. 3rd, 2009!
I also had to wait in line at the pharmacy but I thought I better make sure to get my insulin before I ran out. I had enough to last me through Friday but I didnt want to cut it that close.
