Golf Junkie On their honeymoon, the new husband told his bride, I have a confession to make that I should have made before, but I was concerned that it might affect our relationship. What is it? his new bride asked lovingly. Im a golf fanatic, he said. I think about golf constantly. Ill be out on the golf course every weekend, every holiday, and every chance I get. If it comes to a choice between your wishes and golf, golf will always win. His new bride pondered this for a moment and said, I thank you for your honesty. Now in the same spirit of honesty, I should tell you that Ive concealed something about my own past that you should know about. The truth is, Im a hooker. No problem, said her husband, just widen your stance a little, and overlap your grip, and that should clear it right up. |
Tracey had yesterday off and will have today and tomorrow off work too. We started yesterday off by going out to breakfast which is always nice. Then we started messing with the washing machine which turned into an off and on all day affair. I figured we could just leave the cold water off because of the busted pipe and run the washer on hot water only but the silly thing refuses to run the rinse cycle with hot water unless you manually cycle through each of the wash, rinse and spin cycles. Eventually it just gets too tiresome and would be easier to just scrub your clothes on a rock! Aaron & Tracey went into town yesterday afternoon to get their eyes examined and order some new glasses. Wow! Talking about costing an arm and a leg! That prescription glasses deal is a real set up. Our day ended on a wind storm induced power outage around 11:30 p.m. We spent a while hunting down flashlights, oil lamps etc. After sitting in the lamplight looking at each other for about an hour we decided to go to bed. We left an oil lamp burning in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. And two boys playing chess by flashlight. The power came back on around 3 a.m. which was really good because it was getting cool and the furnace needed to run. |
