My little weather bug is saying it is -14°F out there right this minute —— OMIGOSH! I took your Mom to work yesterday so she wouldn’t have to trudge through the parking lot, etc. The trip there wasn’t so too bad because it was still slightly above zero, but going to pick her up last night it was like -3°F.
It even SOUNDS cold out there! The snow crunches and the poor old Blazer makes these nasty clunking and creaking sounds when you climb in like the suspension is just going to snap or something.
Then, of course, they don’t clear the roads around here any better this winter than last winter when you were driving on them. I can hardly wait to get out there this morning to take her to work again this morning. NOT! (Oh and your brothers got another snow day today because of wind chills.)

Good morning! Well, I’m not thrilled about the closing today....it was final exam day! Morton has their finals today and tomorrow. I have no idea how they will handle this.
Ashley doesn’t have her things to study for the “regularly scheduled program” tomorrow. If they just pretend that today didn’t exist, the times are wrong for exams. I guess they could just pretend that Friday is Thursday and then figure out when Friday will happen! Oh brother.....it’s Illinois and it’s winter so that means cold and snow!
The roads yesterday were fine to drive on. Even out in the country they had them pretty cleared as long as you just went slower. Ashley was thrilled to have studied last night for nothing!
Any news from CO? I’m hoping that no news is good news!

Hi Tammy, Brrrr —— our poor ol’ furnace seems to be running constantly to keep up with this! I took Tracey in to work again so she wouldn’t freeze her Unowatt off and I thought the stupid door was going to fall off the Blazer! It made a big clunk noise and now it sags —— I think the bushing on the door pin broke. Oh Well.
I don’t know where our guys are with finals but they are probably close too. They would never begrudge a day off school though —— not for any reason. Study? What’s that?

Unless they moved finals, Aaron and Ben have been done with those for a couple weeks--Tremont has always had their first semester finals right before Christmas break, and then the second semester finals aren’t until May.

Well, Morton kids get to study extra long! Since they’ve closed tomorrow too, finals are now next Thurs. and Friday.
They are going to use Wed. as another “study day” in their classes....oh, won’t that be fun!
Ben and Aaron get another lazy day too.

Yep —— I got the call on my way to pick up Tracey —— another day to roam about the house and drive Dad crazy. And you are so correct Noah —— I realized that as soon as I started reading your comment. Guess I had a Senior moment. Hate when that happens!
