A Jan. 21st, 2009 photograph provided by the Colorado National Monument shows a 1987 Dodge van that got stuck on a rock overhang, near Grand Junction, CO, after the driver sent the vehicle off a cliff in an apparent suicide attempt. The 34-year-old male driver survived the incident. But park officials said that 27 people attempted suicide at the national monument last year, which has prompted administrators to train staff at entrances and visitor centers in suicide prevention.
Ive had a couple examples in past days of how time always catches up with us. The first was Friday evening when I started to put together our tax papers. I always load up the tax software when I get the first official tax forms. It usually takes a couple weeks to get everything tallied up but I am usually within a hundred dollars or so with the first educated guess. Except this time it was all wrong and it took me a while to track down the $2,000 tax break we are losing because Ben & Aaron turned 17 years old last year. Bummer. $2,000 is a lot to lose. So time caught up with us there.

#RetireeBreakfast The next occasion was yesterday morning when I shared breakfast with a bunch of the guys I used to work with at Caterpillar. We only get together about twice a year and each time there seem to be one or two guys who are no longer with us or have some dread medical ailment. This example of time passing is probably the worst.
