Well we haven’t heard from Tammy for a couple days now so I’m guessing she is either exhausted from heating tubs of water on the stove or she is in the slammer for assaulting a water heater warranty representative. What’s up!?
Ben is all excited about getting his first ever tax refund. He got his W2 from working last summer and didn’t make enough to pay taxes so he gets back all the money they took out of his check ($23 !).
I told him to savor the moment because it may be his last. Eventually they decide you made enough they get to keep what they took out.

You could be right on both counts....no hot water yet! The water is on right now. I know Whirlpool’s number by heart now -- and the names of the people too! I even tried calling American too.
We received another new thermocouple yesterday and hopefully a “thingy” will be coming today. Then we’ll see what happens - again! I don’t know if I’ve ever been so angry and frustrated in my life! American called last night (and he was an American!) and said that if the parts don’t fix the water heater tonight, call them and they’ll authorize an exchange. Gee, 1 headache for another headache probably.
It’s been almost 1 week of no hot water! I’m tired of 2 big pans on the stove too. I’ll do my best to never buy Whirlpool and/or American products again that’s for sure!
At least I didn’t get up to snow and having to shovel...thank goodness for small favors!

Well....actually Dave has been much better about this! Of course, he doesn’t have to do dishes or help Ashley wash her LONG, THICK mop in the sink with a cup!
I did like what he told one of them though: “I would love to yank the G...D...water heater out, put it on the curb with a sign that says “This is what happens when you buy Whirlpool and American Products!”
Anyway keep your fingers crossed that the “thingy” they’re supposedly overnight yesterday fixes it! Have a good day.

I know a guy back in Illinois who had the same problem with his Whirlpool water heater a few weeks ago. He was cursing Whirlpool on his blog for two weeks! I think his was even made in the same year as yours, so maybe Whirlpool has something they need to be sharing.
Oh, and make sure Ben knows that taxes suck! I have to do taxes for Federal and 2 states!

Noah: If his water heater begins with the letters FG, then they’re probably the same. Ours was bought 11-26-04. Tell your friend to also call American Products. Google American water heaters and you’ll get their site.
They finally called me last night and offered an exchange if tonight’s part didn’t fit. If a thermostat and thermocouple don’t work, have him ask for an “adapter - thermocouple/switch. That’s what finally fixed ours.
WOW...a real shower in the morning! It’s only been a week!
