US environmentalists have been celebrating after Interior Secretary Ken Salazar reversed a move by the previous administration to lease wilderness land in Utah to energy companies for exploration. Actor Robert Redford called the move a sign that after eight long years of rapacious greed and backdoor dealings, our government is returning a sense of balance to the way it manages our lands.
I think we will finally be able to see our driveway today! The temperature is 45°F this morning as I type! Thats a heat wave compared to what we have had recently.
I imagine Tracey thinks she is living in luxury with the temperatures in the 70s there in Mesa. I suspect they probably stayed up late last night visiting and will all sleep in late today.
No news is good news around here. The electricity went off for about 10 seconds last night. Just long enough to shut down Ben & Aarons computers and make all the clocks in the house flash. I hate when that happens.

What a beautiful day! I just got back from my first scooter ride of the year. I went to Woodys in Groveland for some lunch. I was a little surprised at how stiff I was at first but it came back to me as I went along. Had a lot of trouble remembering to turn the turn signal off.
Almost a mistake because the roads are still wet and there is a lot of gravel and sand everywhere. This is probably the worst year I can remember for the county putting out sand and gravel instead of salt. The salt works - the other stuff just makes a mess and doesnt do any good for icy roads.
