Actor James Whitmore died at his home in Malibu at the age of 87. Whitmore, a Tony and Emmy winning actor, who was also nominated for an Oscar, died of lung cancer, Friday, Feb. 6th, 2009, in his Malibu home, according to his son Steve Whitmore.
