Critics took to the social networking site Facebook to voice their fury over Pope Benedict’s remark that condoms do not prevent HIV. Pope Benedict XVI’s anti-condom comments has raised the ire of some Facebook users. Thousands have pledged to send the pontiff millions of condoms to protest the controversial comment he made to journalists as he flew to Cameroon last week.

“You can’t resolve it with the distribution of condoms,” the pope told reporters. “On the contrary, it increases the problem.”

Bad night last night —— my nose got all clogged up and I couldn’t use the breathing machine without choking up. It is a horrible feeling to come out of a dead sleep with that feeling of suffocation. I am going to see if I can’t get a different mask that covers my mouth too. There are several full face masks and hopefully one of them will work better.


I check the Blog fairly often during the day just to see if there are any spam comments I need to filter and delete. I have managed to block dozens a day by blocking certain words they use to sell their drugs, smut, etc.

I noticed yesterday that there was very little spam to deal with when it dawned on me that it was Sunday. I immediately thought this was understandable, that most people observe Sunday as a day of rest and then the irony of this made me shake my head. Even the lowest form of human life —— the internet spammer —— takes Sunday off.


Today will be a busy day. The boys go back to school after all this time off and I know they didn’t get to bed very early last night —— so there will be no joy in getting them on their way.

The warning light for the brakes lit up on the Ford so I need to make an appointment for that and we are going to rearrange vehicles so the boys aren’t driving it to school this morning.

I have that Dr. appointment this afternoon with the pulmonologist that I am so NOT looking forward to. The day will start good though as I am to meet Michael T. for breakfast this morning.
