Medical Mafia

Anyone who has been around me when I sleep can attest to my horrendous snoring and apnea. I am told I stop breathing for a while and then start again with a loud snort and more snoring. I don’t know, I’m not there —— I’m sleeping.

I tried to get my family witch doctor to prescribe the CPAP machine for me but she wouldn’t do that without the sleep study to tell us what we already know. So she gets her extortion for setting up the study, Pekin Hospital gets its blackmail for the study and the yet to be met specialist gets his blood money by reading the study and writing the prescriptions. Everyone gets a bite out of my finances.

I was a bit surly with the nurse explaining their version of this insanity when she was trying to convince me it was all for my “well being”.

I told her I have done without the medical help of the machine for over two years now because of the cost of their extortion. That instead of paying a couple hundred dollars for the machine —— I was out probably over a thousand dollars by the time everybody in the Medical Mafia got their “taste”. I fail to see how that is for my “well being”.

Anyway, my entry for Wednesday may be late because I will be spending Tuesday night at Pekin Hospital while they run tests on me to verify what we already know.
